The Cumberland Valley School Board on Monday night voted 6-3 to move from a fully-funded to a self-funded health insurance plan in 2017. Technically, the move is a gamble, as the district could either lose or save big depending on the amount of claims that are issued by employees, but according to Mike Willis, the district's director of business and support services, in the last 5 years, had the district self-funded its medical and prescription plan, there would have been a $2 million savings. http://www.pennlive.com/community-news/2016/10/cumberland_valley_hopes_to_sav.html
